Happy Valentines Day!

Happy Valentines Day!
Today the group woke up bright and early for our flight to Jamaica! During the ride to the Toronto airport, we were all getting extremely eager to leave the frozen tundra we call home. We arrived at the airport for 7:30am but, unfortunately, our day didn’t stay on schedule, because our flight was delayed almost 2 hours.

All was forgotten when we landed safely in beautiful Montego Bay, and it was 28 degrees Celsius and sunny. We were greeted by so many friendly faces, and climbed aboard our bus that would bring us to our hotel. We drove along the coast for a few hours listening to some traditional reggae music, which was just what we needed to get us in the Jamaican spirit! Along the way, we saw many different residential areas, shopping centers, local entertainment centers, and to our pleasant surprise…Goats! We saw families of goats everywhere, from the residential areas to the grass fields. To our disappointment, it was not recommended to bring one back with us, so we just enjoyed watching them while we could.

When we arrived at the hotel, we checked in and enjoyed a buffet dinner. After this, we went for a late night swim and disco dance party! Overall we had a very successful first day in Jamaica, and are looking forward to the rest of our week!
